EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING TO APPRECIATE (1)

It is often said that we don't truly appreciate what we have until it is gone. There is truth in that statement.
Consider the air we breathe.
Every second of every day, it silently sustains our lives, yet most of us rarely give it a single thought.
We notice it only when it becomes difficult to breathe, during an illness or after strenuous exercise.
What was once taken for granted suddenly becomes priceless.

The same pattern appears throughout our lives.
We overlook the warmth of a loving family until an empty chair reminds us of someone's absence.
We take good health for granted until a doctor's diagnosis changes everything.
We complain about our jobs until unemployment teaches us the value of an opportunity.
We wish for a bigger house while forgetting that countless people long simply for a safe place to sleep.
Too often, our attention is fixed on what we lack rather than on the abundance already in our hands.
