The Price Of Authenticity (4)

THE PRICE OF AUTHENTICITY (4)

Healthy relationships are built on mutual respect, not on one person constantly giving while the other only takes.

Sometimes, people may question your decisions when you stop allowing yourself to be used.
They may ask for explanations or try to make you feel guilty for choosing yourself.

In those moments, remember that you are not obligated to defend every boundary you set.
A simple "no" can be a complete answer when something goes against your values, overwhelms you, or compromises your well-being.

Self-respect means recognizing that your life has value and that your needs matter too.
It means understanding that you can be compassionate without becoming available for exploitation.
You can love people without allowing them to misuse your kindness.
You can support others without carrying burdens that were never yours to bear.
To be authentic in a world that tries every day to turn you into something else is an endless war: to fight the pressure, silence the noise, and choose yourself again and again.
