PRAYER: TALK TO GOD (3)

The conscious mind has direct contact with the world; therefore, it sees and hears wrong things that easily affect the heart, if not checked.

Negative things must be removed from the conscious mind in order to make the heart pure, so that our prayers can be powerful.

A heart filled with bitterness, unforgiveness, envy, lusts and other vices can't give effective prayers.

Furthermore , if the mind and heart don't believe in a request together, there won't be faith and nothing will be received.

To have faith, we can begin to count our blessings to strengthen the heart.

This is the essence of the divine admonition: always let your thanksgiving be much more than your requests before God.

Gratitude is an integral part of prayer, it enables the heart to be filled with faith, hope and love which override every negative emotions that rise against our prayer to God.
