When life squeezes us through rejection, financial struggles, broken relationships, loneliness, criticism, or pain, whatever spills out of us is often what has been silently stored within our hearts for years.
If rage erupts, it means rage had already built a home there.
If resentment pours out, resentment had already taken root long before the difficult moment arrived.
Stress only opened the door and allowed hidden emotions to step into the light.
This truth is uncomfortable because it removes our favorite excuse: blaming the world for what comes out of us.
